We are pleased to offer a number of Sensory-Friendly Sessions of Museum of the Moon at Tewkesbury Abbey – a quieter, more relaxed opportunity to experience this extraordinary installation.

These one-hour sessions are designed especially for visitors who may benefit from a calmer environment, including people living with dementia, those with autism or sensory processing needs, and their families or carers.

During this time:

·       The atmospheric music usually accompanying the artwork will be switched off.

·       The scheduled times occur before sunset, allowing for more light.

·       Visitor numbers will be limited to avoid crowding.

·       Our team will be on hand to offer a warm welcome and support if needed.

We hope this dedicated session will allow more people to enjoy the awe and beauty of the Moon in a way that feels comfortable and accessible.

Tewkesbury Abbey invites you to an enchanting Tea Dance Under the Moon, set beneath the glowing lunar sculpture by artist Luke Jerram. This special event is open to all ages and abilities, offering a warm and inclusive space to enjoy the timeless pleasure of dancing.

Enjoy a variety of musical styles performed live, from the elegance of the waltz and foxtrot to the energy of Lindy Hop and Jive. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or simply want to sway with a cup of tea in hand, all are welcome.

High tea will be served as part of the experience. Come alone or with friends, dressed to dance or just to delight in the atmosphere—this is an afternoon like no other, where community, culture, and the cosmos come together.

Join us for two unforgettable performances of Shakespeare by Moonlight, presented in the round beneath Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon, in collaboration with Wise & Wayward Theatre. These specially curated scenes celebrate the Moon’s presence in Shakespeare’s plays—from romance and mystery to mischief and magic.

A spellbinding fusion of theatre, art, and architecture—perfect for both seasoned Shakespeare lovers and those new to his works.

During half term, families are invited to experience the wonder of the Museum of the Moon with a fun-filled programme designed especially for children. 

Get hands-on with our interactive workshops and activities, taking place under the Moon! Each session includes a children’s lunchbox and all materials.

Weekday Morning Yoga, Fri 17th 7-8am, Tues 4th Nov (7:00–8:00am): Two special early sessions for a tranquil start to the day.

The Yoga sessions are delivered by our valued partner The Nook Yoga Studio.

£16 per session. (select preferred date once tickets are addded to the basket)

Customers are asked to bring their own Yoga matt

Three weekend sessions followed by a nourishing continental breakfast served in the Parish Hall.
